Could Walmart Expand to A Super Walmart?

Welcome to You Ask... Patch Answers where we answer readers questions. We recently received questions about the Walmart on Main Street. Patch readers want to know why the store does not have a grocery section. Here's your answer.

Walmart does not have a grocery section because they do not have enough space or a permit.

"They just don't have the space," said Building Inspector Jim DeCola.

According to DeCola, Walmart took over an existing building and would have to add a large addition to include a grocery section. They would also need additional permits.

For those itching for a new supermarket option, don't get excited. Walmart has never applied and seem to have no interest in expanding the location into a Super Walmart, DeCola said.
