Today is Friday, Feb. 17. Here are five things you need to know today:

1. Bring an umbrella. Expect morning showers. The temperature will reach 46 degrees in the afternoon and drop to 28 overnight. 

2. SummerScape job opening. The Parks and Recreation Department is looking for a SummerScape Director. The job will pay between $16.00 and $18.00 per hour. The position manages an eight-week SummerScape program for school age children. The director will supervise a staff of six to eight counselors and up to eight volunteers weekly, and report to the Recreation Director. The program runs 30 to 35 hours per week for eight weeks during the summer, and handles around 50 to 80 children per day. Applicants must have either an associates degree or five years experience in a related field with management experience.
