The girls varsity  state playoffs Thursday. The game was originally scheduled for Wednesday, but has been postponed. North Reading will play St. Mary's in Lynn at 7 p.m. Thursday. The Hornets, , are seeded ninth. They will play eighth-seeded St. Mary's with a record of 12-10. If they win the first game, the Hornets will play at Bedford.
