How Does North Reading Snow and Ice Removal Cost Compare to Other Towns?
Town has spent "significantly less" than nearby communities according to town officials.

The Department of Public Works (DPW) spent $7,838 more than their original snow and ice budget of $175,000, but town officials say North Reading has spent less than other towns nearby.
According to town officials, North Reading has spent 7.5 percent less than the average on snow and ice expenditures this winter. At a previous meeting, the Board of Selectmen questioned DPW Director Richard Carnevale about being over budget.
