“We think that Stoneham Theatre is simply a fabulous resource, providing professional theatre for students in the communities we serve,” says Reading Co-operative President Julieann Thurlow. “We are excited to provide the opportunity for students to see both shows they know and shows they don’t at an affordable rate. Hopefully, this provides an alternative activity on these cold weekend days, rather than the mall or movies.”

A limited number of tickets are available with this program. Stoneham Theatre’s young company youth education shows run Feb 2 – 12, and include: Once Upon A Mattress (grades 1 – 6); Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (grades 7 – 9); and Into the Woods (grades 10 – 12). Students will have the opportunity to see their peers and those around their own age perform.

“We are grateful that Reading Co-operative Bank has stepped forward making the Theatre a wonderful, even more inexpensive option for students.  The Theatre allows students to experience the transformative power of live theatre, and see children their own age creating the magic. That in itself is extremely powerful,” says Stoneham Theatre’s Managing Director Matt Chapuran.

Tickets are available online with the code RCS, on the phone at 781-279-2200 or in-person at the box office. Students need to show their student ID or mail with their home address when picking up tickets.
