If you remember the thrilling days of yesteryear (or even if you don’t), you won’t want to miss the program, The Golden Days of Radio, at the on Tuesday, June 26 at 7:00 p.m. as part of the LiveWires series.

The heyday of radio programming took place in the 1930s and ‘40s with adventures, comedies, thrillers, musical variety, drama and a host of other types of programming. WBZ radio personality Mel Simons will play clips from favorite old radio shows such as The Lone Ranger, The Shadow, and more. He will also play the recorded voices of famous radio personalities, such as Jack Benny, Eddie Cantor, Baby Snooks and others. Along with the nostalgic trip down memory lane, Simons will tell unknown facts and unusual anecdotes about old time radio.
