Winter Hill Bank Sponsors Rotary Clubs of North Reading and Reading’s Taste of Metro North

Attend the Taste of Metro North on February 29.

The following was submitted by the Reading-North Reading Chamber of Commerce:

is the platinum sponsor for the Rotary Clubs of North Reading and Reading’s Taste of Metro North on “Main Street” at Reading Memorial High School (62 Oakland Road) on Wednesday, February 29, from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

“Reading restaurants, including Grumpy Doyle’s, Harrow’s, Cupcake City, Christopher’s Restaurant, Anthony’s Roast Beef, Bertucci’s, Oye’s, the Olde Redding Butcher Shoppe, along with dining services at Sanborn Place, Home Care and Day Services and the Reading Public Schools Food Services will join North Reading’s , , and , Burlington’s Landana Grill, Wakefield’s Dockside at Wakefield and  Woburn’s Scoreboard Sports Grill and the Brazilian Steakhouse.  These restaurants and dining services will present samplings from their menus,” said Committee Co-Chair and Reading Rotary Club President Gregg Johnson.

“Other generous sponsors of the event, which promises to be an informal, fun way to delight hundreds of people are Sanborn Place, Home Care and Day Services, Verizon Wireless, Reading Co-operative Bank, Eastern Bank, The Savings Bank and Reading Public Schools Food Service.  Area restaurants will showcase their house specialties,” added Co-Chair and President Peter Majane.

Tickets for the Taste of Metro North are $30 ($35 at the door) or $50 for a family, which includes two adults and any number of children ($55 at the door).  They can be purchased on the Taste’s website or from committee members (listed below) and at the following locations: Reading Municipal Light Department, (Reading and North Reading locations), Kitty’s Restaurant, Carr’s Hallmark, Winter Hill Bank, Sanborn Place, Home Care and Day Services and the Superintendents’ offices at Reading Memorial High School and and from Principal Jon Bernard at .

The Rotary Club is a civic organization dedicated to giving back to the community.  Proceeds from this event will be donated the North Reading Education Foundation and the Reading Educational Fund, as well as other charitable causes supported by the Reading and North Reading Rotary Clubs.
