Monday Essentials: Rozzie Night Out; and Free ParkSCIENCE Event for Kids
The Boston Bandits softball team is a traveling girls softball team during the summer and tryouts are from Aug. 19-23.
- Roslindale's Night Out is on Tuesday starting at 6 p.m. at Adams Park. There will be music, entertainment, martial arts demonstrations, and multiple presentations. Click here for more info about other activities.

- Tonight at the Strand Theatre in Dorchester there is a mayoral forum on small and micro businesses. 6:30-8:30 p.m.
- On Tuesday the Boston Parks and Recreation Department presents a free ParkSCIENCE Boston Children's Festival on Tuesday (rain date Aug. 21) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Franklin Park in Dorchester. Children and families can participate in a variety of free activities such as potting plants, watching a robot in action, flying paper kites and rockets, and digging for artifacts! There will also be giveaways, games, dancing, and more.
