Roslindale's Arredondo on Rescuing Boston Marathon Victim

Carlos Arredondo talks about how he jumped into action to help whoever he could.

In the Parkway area, Roslindale's Carlos Arredondo is known for his anti-war memorial often seen at the Monument in Jamaica Plain. But across the nation he's being referred to as the Boston Marathon hero with the cowboy hat.

"My instinct was to run towards those people and jump that fence. I saw the ground covered in blood and then put myself into action," Arredondo said in an interview with WCVB on Wednesday. "I said, 'God protect me.'"
