Roslindale Weekend: The Splinters, Free Yoga, & Free Movie at Adams Park

Live music, kids activities, free yoga and more this week at the Roslindale Village Farmers' Market.

Looking for something to do in Roslindale this August weekend? Here are three options for you, your family, your friends, your grandmother, grandfather and whoever else you'd like to bring along.

  • Enjoy some live free music at Select Cafe in Roslindale Village on both Friday and Saturday night. Friday's music is from 7 to 9 p.m., and 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday. Stop in, get some ice cream, a cup of tea or coffee and hear some live music. 2 Belgrade Ave.
  • This Saturday night everyone is welcome to enjoy a free screening of 'Honey, I Shrunk the Kids' starting at 7:30 p.m. at Adams Park. The Charles River Church is hosting Children's Movies in the Park with the Rick Moranis classic being shown on an inflatable movie screen. Bring a blanket, maybe something to snack on - but remember to throw away all your trash, or bring it back home with you.
  • On Saturday is the Roslindale Village Farmers Market with plenty of farms selling their fresh produce, and local vendors selling their goods. Music at 11 a.m. is The Splinters, with children’s activities by Dramatic Adventures at 10 a.m. The YMCA Enrichment Program will also be on hand, and free yoga with Open Doors Yoga Studios at 9 a.m. Adams Park.
