Roslindale's Night Out; Boston Children's Festival; and Maternal Bonding Study
On Tuesday the Boston Parks and Recreation Department presents a free ParkSCIENCE Boston Children's Festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Franklin Park.

- Roslindale's Night Out is on Tuesday starting at 6 p.m. at Adams Park. There will be music, entertainment, martial arts demonstrations, and multiple presentations. Click here for more info about other activities.
- On Tuesday the Boston Parks and Recreation Department presents a free ParkSCIENCE Boston Children's Festival on Tuesday (rain date Aug. 21) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Franklin Park in Dorchester. Children and families can participate in a variety of free activities such as potting plants, watching a robot in action, flying paper kites and rockets, and digging for artifacts! There will also be giveaways, games, dancing, and more.
- The Boston Bandits softball team is a traveling girls softball team during the summer and tryouts are happening at the West Roxbury Education Complex from Aug. 19-23.
- Sign up for a free Composting Together workshop in Roslindale on Saturday. Registration is required. Register by emailing info@bostonnatural.org or calling 617-542-7696.
- The MGH-Charlestown Imaging Center is running a research study on maternal bonding and is looking for healthy mothers, ages 21 to 45, with infants ages 4-18 months to participate. For information, contact Dr. Shir Aztil at 617-373-2649 or email savraham-atzil@partners.org.
