Second-Ever Third Thursday on Thursday in Roslindale Village

The second-ever Third Thursday -- a special night of sales, entertainment, deals, and more -- will take place in Roslindale Village on Thursday night. 

Roslindale Village Main Street has sponsored and helped organize the Summer Stroll and the Holiday Wander, which brought in customers from the sidewalks with performances, special deals, drinks and food.

But coming up with four consecutive weeks of events is tough - thus enter the year-long Third Thursday events.

Modeled after Jamaica Plain’s long-running First Thursday event, Roslindale’s Third Thursday will allow businesses in the Square to invite foot traffic.

Below is a list of participating businesses so far:

Birch St. House & Garden - Artist opening for Paula Lazar, who has expanded her collection of watercolors and oils for the spring. 6-8 p.m. Refreshments served. Open until 9 p.m. 

Boston Cheese Cellar - Artist reception with Ellen Pierce who creates linoleum prints. 6-8 p.m.

Centre Cuts Salon & Day Spa - 10% off all Aveda retail products 

El Chavo - 20% off all prepared salsas 

Fetysh Shoes - 20% off shoes and accessories. Open until 8 p.m. 

Friends of Roslindale Branch Library - Join the Friends of the Library from 6-8 p.m. at the library. A great selection of books as part of the huge annual book sale, plus yarn at great prices, treats and giveaways. Gary Dawson and friends will entertain with bluegrass music.   

Home for Little Wanderers Thrift Shop - Performance by Chris’ band The Broons from 6-7 p.m. Get ready for a fun time with this local loud alt-country band. Also, all books, magazines, records, tapes, vhs and dvds are 50% off. 

Joanne Rossman - Wine served as you shop. Open until 8 p.m. or later.

Marla’s Obsession - 15% off ALL jewelry

Minerva’s Owl Boutique - Trunk Show featuring upcycled clothing designer Folk Couture. Grace Napoleon will bring her remarkable, handmade dresses, in all sizes to Minerva’s Owl Boutique, from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

Redd’s in Rozzie - Ask for the Third Thursdays specialty cocktail. 

Romano’s Pizzeria - 15% off any large pizza with 1 or 2 toppings (order between 6-9 p.m.)

Sarida - “The Bead Lady” trunk show with Pam Newman, who creates semi-precious stone and beaded jewelry, plus nibbles. Open until 9 p.m.
