Shotgun Found During Backyard Cleaning in Roslindale

A Wellsmere Road resident found a shotgun wrapped in a pouch while he was cleaning up his backyard.
On Aug. 18 around 4:16 p.m., Boston Police visited 101 Wellsmere Road in Roslindale, and met a homeowner who had the gun in an orange fabric pouch, according to a Boston Police report.
The resident told police he opened the pouch after finding it in his backyard. The shotgun was believed to be a Winchester 16-gauge pump shotgun.
