5 Things You Need To Know Today, April 12

Before you start your Tuesday, here is what you need to know:

1. You definitely want to grab a Dunkin' Donuts iced coffee today. If you get caught by the Dunkin Donuts street team with an iced coffee in hand, you could win tickets to the Red Sox, Bruins or Celtics. The coffee chain is giving away $25,000 worth of tickets. 

2. Going green? The City of Salem, Salem Chamber of Commerce, Salem Renewable Energy Task Force, Salem Recycles and the North Shore Transportation Management Association are launching the 2011 Green Salem Business Challenge with a green-focused workshop this morning. The workshop will start at 7:30 a.m. in the City Hall Annex.

3. Still traumatized by this winter's weather woes on the MBTA commuter line? The first hearing  held by lawmakers to get to the bottom of things will be held in Boston today.

4. Bottoms up, Finz will be holding a craft beer dinner tonight at 6:30 p.m. Five courses will be paired with inovative, creative brews from around the country. $44.99 per person. Reservations only.

5. It's going to be a dreary Tuesday. Highs will be near 50 but clouds and rain will persist. Just think about yesterday.
