Beverly Man Ejected From Truck, Seriously Injured In Maine Crash

Maine State Police said the 25-year-old man lost control of his truck and crossed the median of I-95 before the truck flipped.

BEVERLY, MA — A 25-year-old Beverly was hospitalized with serious injuries Monday morning after Maine State Police said he was ejected from his truck after it crossed the median from the southbound to the northbound lanes on I-95 in Bangor and flipped over.

Police said the crash caused a full shutdown of the interstate at about 7 a.m. and that Kenneth Cartledge was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center where he was listed in serious but stable condition Monday afternoon.

Police said the crash occurred at mile marker 181 and that the Cartledge was found lying on the roadway, alive and talking with those who stopped to help him.

Police said a preliminary investigation indicated Cartledge was not wearing a seatbelt and that it appeared Cartledge was driving too fast for the wintry road conditions at the time.

"The Maine State Police reminds all motorists to use caution in their daily commutes this time of the year," police said.
