Farmers' Market Forced to End Week Early Due to Weather
The 18-week long summer Salem Farmers' Market has ended a week early because of the heavy rain and strong winds on Thursday.

The Salem Farmers’ Market will end its summer season a week early because of windy, rainy Nor’easter that has rolled through Salem.
Organizers said it was “with great sadness” that they decided to cancel the Thursday, Oct. 23 market. The market is held weekly for 18 weeks on Thursdays in Derby Square off Front Street.
“The safety of our visitors and vendors is our primary concern, and we’d rather be safe than sorry,” organizers said.
