SALEM, MA — A combination of a storm moving through Saturday night and astronomically high tides could bring coastal flooding to some Boston, North Shore, South Shore and Cape Cod locations during the Sunday morning and midday high tide.

The National Weather Service on Friday issued a Flood Watch for the entire coast of Massachusetts with up to 1 to 2 feet of inundation possible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.

"Splashover and debris may wash onto coastal roads when large waves occur," the NWS said. "If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property."
