Hit-and-Run Sends Van Into Building

Two people were injured when a van went into a building on Saturday evening in Salem.

A hit-and-run crash sent a minivan into a building at the intersection of Linden Street and Forest Avenue on Saturday evening, injuring two people.

Police were looking for a grey Honda Accord that was allegedly responsible for the crash and later found it. But the driver is the crash was still being sought.

The crash happened just before 6 p.m. The building inspector was called.

The injuries to the two women were not considered serious and the building was not seriously damaged.

“I’m upset about the women. they had no fault in it at all,” resident Leslie Monahan told WHDH TV.
