Lynn Double Shooting Suspect Captured: Police

The two victims had reportedly intervened when the suspect accosted a woman on the street on Easter.

LYNN, MA – The suspect in an Easter Sunday double shooting in Lynn was arrested overnight in Weymouth, state police said. William Cash, 44, was wanted for murder in the shooting that killed one and seriously wounded another on April 16.

Cash was allegedly accosting a woman on the street when two men intervened, police said. He left the area but returned a short time later and allegedly shot both men. One, who was legally blind, was killed. The second sustained serious injuries.

Cash has previously been convicted of armed robbery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and drug trafficking.
