No Bail for Alleged Murderer of Salem Man
Xavier Collazo of Roxbury allegedly shot Benjamin Magee on Park Street in March.
Salem, MA - Xavier Collazo, 19, of Roxbury, pleaded not guilty today in Salem District Court to the March 31 murder of Benjamin Magee, 27, of Salem.
Judge William Fitzpatrick ordered Collazo held without bail pending a probable cause hearing, which is scheduled for June 3.
Collazo allegedly shot Magee to death on Park Street in Salem, and then fled the state.

He was captured on Wednesday, April 13, in Jacksonville, FL.
The case will be prosecuted by Essex Assistant District Attorneys Jean M. Curran and Michael Sheehan. Collazo is represented by Attorney John Morris.
