Report: Producers Eyeing Salem for Scenes in New Matt Damon Film
A film with a working title of "Manchester-by-the-Sea" may have some scenes shot in Salem.

A new film that would be shot mostly on Cape Ann - and named after one of its towns - may also include some scenes in Salem.
A recent report by the Gloucester Times says scouts have been inquring about possible locations to shoot scene for “Manchester-by-the-Sea” in Salem.
Shooting for the movie is likely to start in March or April, according to the Times, and the producer will be Chris Moore.

The plot will center on Damon as a “Boston-living ne’er-do-well plumber” who returns to Boston after he learns that his brother passed away, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Locations have also been eyed in Essex, Gloucester, Manchester-by-the-Sea and Salem, according to the report.
