Salem Country Club To Host 38th Annual U.S. Senior Open

The championship will take place in late June and early July.

SALEM, MA – The Salem State University Alumni Association is partnering with Salem Country Club and the 38th U.S. Senior Open Championship that will take place from June 26 to July 2, 2017 at the historic Salem Country Club in Peabody.

The 2017 U.S. Senior Open will welcome national and international golfers over the age of 50. Players expected to compete for this national championship include Bernhard Langer, Fred Couples, Tom Watson and Colin Montgomerie. The championship will be broadcasted on Fox and FS1 to over 140 countries, with more than 125,000 fans in attendance.

"We’re proud to partner with these storied institutions to bring this annual championship to the region and the world," said Mandy Ray, director of alumni affairs and advancement events at Salem State University. "Similar to Salem State, Salem Country Club has a deep history on the North Shore. Bringing our vast communities together, along with that of the U.S. Senior Open, will help to ensure the success of this exciting event."

Tickets for the U.S. Senior Open are on sale now. Children 17 and under are admitted free of charge to the championship grounds when accompanied by a ticketed adult. All ticket holders receive complimentary parking with shuttle service to the championship.
