Salem Declares Snow Emergency Parking Ban For Weekend Winter Storm

The Salem Department of Public Services was to be out pretreating the roadways on Saturday evening.

The ban was set to begin at 8 p.m. citywide and 10 p.m. downtown with up to 6 inches of snow forecast for the North Shore through Sunday morning.

SALEM, MA — Salem has declared a snow emergency parking ban ahead of Saturday night's winter storm.

The ban was set to begin at 8 p.m. citywide and 10 p.m. downtown with up to 6 inches of snow forecast for the North Shore through Sunday morning.

The Salem Department of Public Services was to be out pretreating the roadways on Saturday evening.

This snow emergency will remain in effect until further notice.

The Museum Place Garage & South Harbor Garage snow rates went into effect at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
