Salem HAWC Annual Event To Honor Domestic Violence Victim Supporters
The Annual Working to Heal Breakfast is set for Danversport on Oct. 3.
SALEM, MA — The Salem-based Healing Abuse Working for Change will share moving survivor stories and honor those who support victims of domestic violence at its annual Working to Heal Breakfast event.
HAWC's breakfast on Oct. 3 at Danversport will bring together community members, supporters and survivors for what is annually a morning of recognition, inspiration and solidarity against domestic violence.
HAWC will present its prestigious Community Award to ABT Yoga. This award recognizes an organization whose exceptional dedication and impact have significantly advanced the cause of ending abuse and supporting survivors in our community.

Ken Lidden and Anne Trevenen will be honored for demonstrating "unwavering commitment, remarkable leadership, and tangible results in fostering a safer and more supportive environment for all."
The Dale Orlando Memorial Award will be presented to Maryanne Askwyth, whose compassion, advocacy, and dedication have created a lasting impact, empowering individuals on their path to safety and healing.

"Through her tireless support and steadfast advocacy, she has become a true champion for healing and hope in our community," HAWC said.
The event will also feature a powerful keynote address from a courageous young survivor whose journey from victim to advocate is inspiring. She will share her personal story, offering a poignant reminder of the resilience of the human spirit and the vital importance of continued support and advocacy.

The annual Working to Heal Breakfast event provides an opportunity for the community to come together in support of HAWC's mission.
