Salem Liquor Store Sells Grand Prize Lottery Scratch Ticket Winner

The "$200 a Week for Life" winning ticket was bought at a liquor store on Boston Street in the Witch City.

SALEM, MA — A Salem woman got quite the going-away present in the Witch City with her scratching of a winning instant ticket bought at a Boston Street liquor store.

Lynn Syrcle, of Port Richey, Florida, won the $200 a week for life prize at the Massachusetts State Lottery's "$200 a Week for Life" $2 instant ticket game. The ticket was a gift as part of her move to Florida.

She chose the cash option of a one-time payment of $160,000 before taxes.

She said she plans to invest the winnings.

The winning ticket was purchased at Arge's Liquors, 18 Boston St. in Salem. The store will receive a $2,080 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
