Salem Man Killed In Manchester Car Crash
Police say two fatal accidents in Manchester on Sunday were unrelated.

MANCHESTER, MA – Brian MacIntyre, 51, of Salem, was killed Sunday morning after a car accident in Manchester. Hours later, another single-car crash resulted in the death of Norman Noriega, 57, of Manchester.
According to a press release from Manchester Police, MassDOT employees called in the first single-car crash around 7:30 a.m. on the Pine Street northbound onramp. Officers found a pickup truck had crashed through the highway guardrail, and was "inverted against a nearby embankment."
MacIntyre was found unresponsive outside the wreck. The victim, who reportedly worked at Crosby's Marketplace in Manchester, succumbed to his injuries around 11 a.m. after he was transported to Beverly Hospital.

The second crash was called in just before 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Bridge and Harbor streets, in which a car hit a stone wall. Noriega was declared dead at the scene.
"There is no indication that the two separate accidents were connected in any way," wrote Manchester Police Chief Edward Conley in a statement. "Responding to incidents involving trauma is something we are trained to do, but it is not something you can ever train to get used to."
