Work on the roof, second and third floors is set to begin prior to April 22 and will reduce parking in affected areas through early summer.

SALEM, MA — There will be parking limitations on the second and third floors, as well as the roof, of the Museum Place Parking Garage in the coming months to complete work that began in 2020.
The work is set to begin on April 22 and is expected to be completed by early summer.
During the project, parts of the second and third levels will be unavailable for use.

"All efforts will be made to alert abutting residences and mall tenants of these closures in a timely manner," Salem officials said.
The work will complete the project that began in 2020 when work was done to address the deteriorated structure, prevent water from entering the mall below and address accessibility issues.

Those who park in the garage are asked to follow all closure signs during the work and not drive around barricades into closed areas of the garage as they may delay the contractor's progress.
Security cameras will be installed, along with additional accessibility upgrades, as part of the upcoming work.
