Salem Pan-Mass Challenge Kids Rides Coordinator Wanted

The Pan-Mass Challenge is looking for a volunteer to coordinate the Kids Rides.

SALEM, MA – The Pan-Mass Challenge is looking for a passionate volunteer in Salem to help coordinate the kids' rides. The PMC is a bike-a-thon that currently raises more money for charity than any other athletic fundraising event in the world, according to a statement.

The PMC is looking to expand the rides, and needs a volunteer to be the PMC Kids Rides Coordinator. A statement from the PMC said 30 Kids Rides last year attracted more than 4,000 youth cyclists and 1,500 volunteers. Their mini bike-a-thons raised more than $723,000 as part of PMC's $47 million donation to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

"The PMC Kids Rides are spokes in the PMC wheel, joining thousands of adult PMC cyclists in their mission to fund adult and pediatric patient care and cancer research at Dana-Farber," said the statement. "The PMC is a two-day, 192-mile bike-a-thon held the first weekend of every August. Since 1980, the PMC has raised more than $547 million for Dana-Farber."
