Salem Man Charged After Alleged Chair Attack

Sunday, June 8

  • At 4:17 p.m., police responded to a disturbance on Rainbow Terrace.
  • At 4:26 p.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Loring Hills Avenue.
  • At 4:31 p.m., police responded to a past larceny on Lynde Street.
  • At 4:41 p.m., police responded to a report of a group causing a disturbance on Washington Street. Joshua A. Grout, 18, of 101 Grove St., Lynn, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
  • At 4:44 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Traders Way.
  • At 4:53 p.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Rainbow Terrace.
  • At 4:57 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Lynde Street.
  • At 5:42 p.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Rainbow Terrace.
  • At 6:18 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Nursery Street. Christos Kalogeros, 47, of 13 Nursery St., Salem, was arrested on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (chair) and two counts of malicious destruction of property valued above $250.
  • At 7:12 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian near the intersection of Highland Avenue and Proctor Street. The driver was cited for failure to stop for a pedestrian.
  • At 8:01 p.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Block House Square.
  • At 8:11 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Webb Street.
  • At 9:38 p.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Leavitt Street.
  • At 9:56 p.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Park Street.
  • At 11:00 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on English Street.
  • At 11:07 p.m., police responded to a dispute between landlord and tenant on Harrison Avenue.
