Salem Snow Emergency Parking Ban Declared For Saturday Night Storm

SALEM, MA —Salem declared a snow emergency parking ban starting Saturday night with up to 9 inches expected from an overnight storm.

The ban will begin at 8 p.m. citywide and 10 p.m. in the downtown district.

This snow emergency will remain in effect until further notice.

DPS is asking residents to slow down and use caution there may be icy spots on the road surfaces.

DPS will continue to treat the roadways well into Sunday evening.

The Museum Place Garage and South Harbor Garage snow rates were to go into effect as of 3 p.m.
