Salem Tree Lighting Planned for Friday Night
The annual event will happen at 6:15 p.m. in Lappin Park.

Lighting of the Christmas tree in Lappin Park will take place on Friday, Nov. 28 at 6:15 p.m.
The event will include Mayor Kimberley Driscoll at Lappin Park, which is located at the corner of Essex Street and Washington Street.
There will be carols, cocoa and snacks along with the Paul Madore Singers performing.

The event is organized by Salem Main Streets and the city of Salem and the tree is funded by a donation from the MeetingHouse Church and visitors during Haunted Happenings in October. Decorations and lights were funded by individual contributions and donations from a number of local businesses. North Shore Marine and All Star Collision and Towing helped deliver the tree and get it in place.
