SalemRecycles Free Book Swap On Saturday

Free books. Need we say more?

SALEM, MA – Gather your unwanted books, greeting cards, commercial CDs, DVDs, and VHSs (remember those?) for SalemRecycle's popular free book swap on Saturday, March 18.

The swap will also include reusable bags. Items not taken at the swap – which will go from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Salem Senior Center on Broad Street – will be reused or recycled.

"We are excited to again host the semi-annual free book swap," said SalemRecycles chair Beth Melillo. "We prevent tons of books from ending up in the trash, and everyone really enjoys the event."

Book swap participants will also be able to ask questions about recycling and reuse. Volunteers will loosely categorize items to make shopping easier.

SalemRecycles asks that no book dealers attend the event, and participants hold off on using more than two bags per swapper before noon.
