Salem's Opus To End Live Music, Become New Concept Restaurant
The Opus Underground music venue hosted its final show on New Year's Eve with a new restaurant set to open in the space in February.
SALEM, MA — Salem's Opus restaurant is going through a transformation that will include a new restaurant concept and, apparently, the end of live music at its Washington Street location.
The Serenitee Restaurant Group, which owns Opus and several other restaurants across the North Shore, previously announced that it was creating two new restaurant concepts at the spot and that the final performance at Opus Underground was to be on New Year's Eve.
Vanyaland's Victoria Wasylak reported this week that there are no plans for live music in the new location.

A hiring fair was held for the new restaurant with openings for part-time servers, bartenders, support staff and managers. The new restaurant is set to open in February and will be open for lunch and dinner.
The final day of the Opus concept restaurant will be on Saturday with a menu of specials.
