Spaulding Opens New Outpatient Center In Salem

The new Spaulding Outpatient Center at Shetland Park is now open.

SALEM, MA – Spaulding Rehabilitation Network has opened the new Spaulding Outpatient Center at 35 Congress St. in Salem. The new Outpatient Center, which opened in February, was originally located on the campus of Spaulding Hospital North Shore (the former Shaughnessy-Kaplan Rehabilitation Hospital).

On May 22, the center will become the new home of Pediatric Rehabilitation Services currently provided by Mass Generalfor Children at North Shore Medical Center. This will be the largest outpatient center of the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network, providing adult and pediatric services in one convenient location.

The new center provides a wide array of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Services. In May, the center will expand to include Audiology services for adults, infants and children, as well as a wide range of Pediatric Specialty Programs. Spaulding joins a growing list of businesses to move into the beautiful waterfront location at Shetland Park, which includes a large number of healthcare and social service providers.

"Spaulding has been providing high-quality rehabilitation services to the Salem community since 1975," said Rob Welch, VP of Outpatient Services for Spaulding Rehabilitation Network. "We look forward to bringing our expertise to this new location and to continue to expand access to rehabilitation services to residents of the North Shore."
