Stolen Flag, Noise Complaint: Salem Police Log

A noise complaint that turned out to be video games, an alarm at a school, and more from the Salem Police log.

  • Police responded to a triggered alarm at Witchcraft Heights Elementary School on Thursday around 6 a.m., but officers found the school was secure.
  • Denny Luis Dejesus, 46, of Salem, was arrested on charges of assault and battery on a household member, assault with a dangerous weapon, and strangulation or suffocation last Thursday.
  • Officers took a report of a prisoner of war flag stolen from a Lafayette Street building sometime on Thursday. The owner told officers it may have been a man who was singing as he walked by.
  • Justin Mark Lee, 22, of Lynnfield, was arrested on charges of failing to drive within the marked lanes, speeding, and drunken driving on Friday around midnight after police responded to a car accident on Margin Street.
  • Timothy T. Gay, 52, of Salem, was arrested on charges of indecent exposure on Saturday around 2:30 p.m. after a report of a suspicious person on Charter Street.
  • William Edward Cahill Jr., 35, of Lynn, was arrested on charges of drunken driving and speeding on Saturday around 11:30 p.m. after a traffic stop on James Ayube Bypass.
  • Police responded to a noise complaint on Lawrence Street on Saturday around midnight. Officers found people playing video games, but no excessive noise.
  • Domenick Durbano, 19, of Revere was arrested on charges of assault and battery on a public employee and disrupting court proceedings on Monday around 1 p.m. after a report of a past assault.
  • Jeffrey Suazo, 28, of Salem, was arrested on charges of wanton destruction of property and larceny from a building on Tuesday around 9 a.m. after a report of a suspicious person on Federal Street.
