Tractor-Trailer Stuck, Blocking Highland Avenue

Salem, MA - There is a tractor trailer stuck on Highland Avenue northbound just after Swampscott Road blocking both lanes, police reported at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday.

Police have closed Highland Avenue at Swampscott Road as well as Swampscott Road at First Street diverting traffic for Highland Avenue through First Street and Traders Way.

There are heavy traffic back ups in the area, and police are asking people to avoid the area if possible.
