Yard Waste to be Collected Curbside All Week in Salem

Yard waste will be picked up curbside all week from Salem residences.

The pickup will run from Monday, Oct. 20 through Friday, Oct. 24. The pickup will happen on the the typical trash day and does not affect curbside compost collection.

Yard waste, including leaves and grass clippings, will be picked up curbside in brown paper yard waste bags or uncovered garbage cans curbside.

The following items will be accepted:

• Lawn clippings and leaves
• Brush, plants and branches not longer than 4 feet or wider than 4 inches and bundled

Not accepted:

• Tree stumps or logs

After this week, the next yard waste pickup will be Nov. 17-21.

Additionally, residents can always drop off yard waste at the transfer station at 9 Swampscott Road weekdays from 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30-11:30 a.m.
