Person Barricaded Inside Taunton Home With Gun Found Dead: Police
After an hours-long standoff, police say the suspect was found dead inside a Taunton home Tuesday night.
TAUNTON, MA — Police say the man who barricaded himself inside a Taunton home with a gun has been found dead Tuesday night.
Police responded to a report of a disturbance at the home on Grant Street just before 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Once they got to the scene, police say the person in question had barricaded himself inside the home with a gun.

The Taunton Police Department closed off Grant Street and told residents to avoid the area for hours.
Police, the SWAT team, and the Southeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council worked for hours to try to negotiate with the suspect.
