2 New School Zones Now Active In Shrewsbury
Police are urging residents to slow down when entering the zones.

SHREWSBURY, MA — The Shrewsbury Police Department has announced that two new school zones are now in place.
New school zones with speed limits of 20 mph on Oak Street and on Crescent Street are now active during school hours, according to police. The zones are meant to keep students, families and crossing guards safe.
Shrewsbury police urged drivers to slow down when entering the zones, pay extra attention to crossing guards and children and watch out for flashing lights and signage.

"Your patience and caution make a big difference," the police department wrote in a news release. "By working together, we can make sure our students get to and from school safely every day."
