Shrewsbury Police Department Community Appreciation Day is on Sept. 20 from noon to 3 p.m. in front of the police department and town hall at 106 Maple Ave.
Ensemble Chaconne Opens 40th Season with Baroque Masterpieces on Sept. 21 ar 9 a.m. at the First Congregational Church, 19 Church Rd.
