Bank To Open Branch On Busy Shrewsbury Road: Report
The bank plans to renovate the property that formerly housed a medical clinic, according to the Community Advocate.
SHREWSBURY, MA — A bank is planning to open up on a busy road in Shrewsbury.
Citizens Bank plans to open a branch at 222-224 Turnpike Rd., according to the Community Advocate. The 5,500-square-foot building has previously housed ReadyMed and a Reliant Medical Group office.
The Community Advocate reported that Citizens plans to renovate the property, add an ATM room, several offices, a teller line, a cash-cointing room, a conference room, restrooms and IT support rooms.

There would be no drive-up window for this bank. They are also hoping to add one more parking spot through renovations, bringing the total to 18 spots. The bank expects to need 20 spaces, and 38 are required, according to the Community Advocate.

With this project, Citizens will join the likes of TD Bank and Berkshire Bank locations on Route 9.
