Crews Quickly Knock Down Vehicle Fire In Shrewsbury

There were no reported injuries, according to the fire department.

SHREWSBURY, MA — Shrewsbury fire crews responded to an accident involving one car shortly after 10 p.m. on Sunday.

The car, which had driven off the road and into a retention pond near the Price Chopper supermarket parking lot, was fully engulfed in flames. The fire department said there were four passengers inside, and all escaped with no injuries.

Personnel from Engine 3 and Rescue in Shrewsbury knocked down the fire quickly, according to SFD.
