CT Man Charged With Fentanyl Trafficking After Police Pursuit In Shrewsbury
Officers found five bundles containing around 10 grams of fentanyl in his vehicle, police said.
SHREWSBURY, MA — A Connecticut man is facing fentanyl trafficking charges after a police pursuit in Shrewsbury overnight Monday, according to police.
Nicholas Krawiec, 27, of South Windsor, was charged after a police pursuit on the Boston Turnpike in Shrewsbury. Those charges included trafficking, after officers found five bundles containing around 10 grams of fentanyl in his vehicle, police said.
Shortly before 1 a.m. on Monday, an officer attempted to stop Krawiec's car at the intersection of Boston Turnpike and Lake Street. His vehicle and registration were BOLO after failing to stop for a Massachusetts State Police trooper in Worcester an hour earlier.

After a high-speed chase, the vehicle traveled straight across the roadway and struck the curb, resulting in two flat tires. The car continued through a grassy area before becoming disabled, police said.
Officers ordered Krawiec out of the vehicle at gunpoint, where he was arrested, according to police.

Krawiec faces multiple charges, including Trafficking a Class A Substance (Fentanyl), OUI Drugs, Failure to Stop for Police, Negligent Operation of a MV, Operating a MV with a License Suspended, Speeding, and Marked Lanes Violation.
