Driver Rescued After SUV Goes Into Lake Quinsigamond

SHREWSBURY, MA — A driver was rescued by bystanders after their SUV went into the water near the Corazzini Boat Ramp at Lake Quinsigamond on Tuesday afternoon, according to Shrewsbury police.

The vehicle was still attached to a boat on its trailer when it entered the water. Quick action from a Good Samaritan bystander helped get the driver out before the SUV was nearly fully submerged.

Both the SUV and the boat were recovered by a local towing company, according to Shrewsbury police.
