If you're looking for something to do in Shrewsbury this weekend We've got you covered. From a 5K race to a composer visiting the First Congregational Church.
- 5K Road Race and Pass Punt and Kick competition at Dean Park. There is a fee to run the road race, but the Pass Punt & Kick Competition is free! Go to SAYFCO.org to register (you must register for the Punt Pass and Kick Competition even though there is no fee). Everyone that registers gets a free t-shirt!
- Need a bite to eat? Stop by Shrewsbury Burger King and help support the Jimmy fund by donating $1.
- Support the 14 Shrewsbury bike riders in the Pan Mass Challenge this weekend. They will be cycling on a series of routes that start in Sturbridge and Wellesley. They won't ride through Shrewsbury but will be as close as Oxford and Whitinsville.
- The weather looks decent for the weekend, but if you're looking for something to do when a thunderstorm rolls in why not head to the movies? We've got a movie listings section here in Shrewsbury Patch.
- Need to beat the heat? Swing by Sunset Beach for a dip in Lake Quinsigamond.
- Composer Gwyneth Walker will be visiting the First Congregational to hear some of her compositions performed.
- Catch the Red Sox playing against the Arizona Diamondbacks Saturday and Sunday at Williker's Tex-Mex. First pitch is at 7:10 both nights.
