Heavy Police Presence In Jordan Pond Area In Shrewsbury

SHREWSBURY, MA — There will be a large police presence in the Edgewater Avenue and Jordan Pond area on Friday.

Shrewsbury police stated that they are continuing their investigation into Thursday's tragic incident, when a 26-year-old was taken into custody for his involvement in the fatal shooting of a 57-year-old father near Jordan Pond, according to Worcester County DA Joseph D. Early.

There is no threat to public safety, according to the Shrewsbury Police Department.
