K-9 Cayman Assists Shrewsbury Police Catch Fleeing Snowmobiler

A State Police K-9 helped Shrewsbury Police catch a snowmobiler who fled from Route 140 near I-290.

State Police said Shrewsbury Police tried to stop two snowmobiles early Saturday morning, but one snowmobiler fled the area. Police found the snowmobile in a nearby woodline.

Trooper George Demos and K-9 Cayman responded. They searched the woods through waist deep snow.

“The track eventually led to a nearby gas station where the attendant advised officers that a man emerged from the woods in snowmobile attire and entered a vehicle. Shortly after, the vehicle was located and suspect was identified. It was then found the man had an outstanding arrest warrant,” said State Police.
