Local Tech Expert Serves as Judge at Global Science Fair

Shrewsbury, MA — Local resident and technology professional Shrinivass A.B. was recently honored to serve as a Grand Award Judge at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) 2025, held May 10–16 in Columbus, Ohio. This year marked a historic milestone as ISEF celebrated its 75th anniversary, continuing its legacy as the world’s largest international STEM research competition for high school students.

Organized by the Society for Science, ISEF brought together more than 1,600 students from over 60 countries, regions, and territories, competing for nearly $9 million in awards, scholarships, internships, and prizes. It’s a life-changing opportunity for the brightest young scientists, engineers, and innovators to present their work on a global stage.

Shrinivass served as a judge in the Technology That Enhances the Arts (TECA) category, which celebrates projects using technology to revolutionize creative expression—from AI-generated music to interactive digital storytelling. He evaluated projects alongside esteemed professionals from academia, research, and industry, including Carrie Shaw, Herbert Schilling, Adam Sidman, Ranran Feng Debroy, and Sharon Yabilsu-Guyuk.

“It was deeply inspiring to witness the ingenuity of these young minds,” said Shrinivass. “Their ability to merge creativity with advanced technology reflects a future where the boundaries between STEM and the arts are beautifully blurred.”

A passionate advocate for interdisciplinary innovation, Shrinivass believes in empowering the next generation of changemakers. His participation highlights the strong STEM presence and talent within the Shrewsbury community.
