Matthew John Whittall Lodge In Shrewsbury Hosts Holiday Events

The lodge is offering Christmas tree sales and pictures with Santa. Both events will raise funds for charity.

SHREWSBURY, MA — Matthew John Whittall Lodge is hosting two charity events this holiday season.

The first is selling Christmas trees. The lodge has been selling trees for 15 years and 100% of the proceeds are donated.

Most donations go toward coats for kids in the Shrewsbury school system. The rest goes to local veterans or other charity groups.

Christmas tree sales are at the lodge at 353 Boston Turnpike (Route 9 West) on weekends only from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday while supplies last.

Then on Dec. 14 is the third annual photo with Santa event. Families can bring a new unwrapped toy donation supporting the Toys for Tots United States Marine Corps.

The lodge has donated more than 70 toys so far and is looking to increase that number.

The event will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
