More Than 150 Lb. Of Medications Collected At Drug Take Back In Shrewsbury
Residents were invited to bring their unused or expired medicines for safe, proper disposal.
SHREWSBURY, MA — On Saturday, the town hosted a Drug Take Back Event at the Shrewsbury Senior Center.
A total of 176 lb. of medication was collected at the event, according to the Shrewsbury Police Department. Residents were invited to bring their unused or expired medicines for safe, proper disposal.
"That’s 176 pounds of medication safely removed from homes, kept out of our water supply, and prevented from falling into the wrong hands," wrote Shrewsbury police. "A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by and took the time to properly dispose of their medications — your participation helps make our community a safer and healthier place."
